Alifu Alifu Atoll

Alifu Alifu Atoll, or Northern Ari Atoll, in western Maldives, was formed in 1984 by merging parts of Ari Atoll, Rasdhukuramathi Atoll, and Thoddoo. It includes about 20 inhabited islands and several uninhabited ones, with ancient Buddhist archaeological remains on islands like Maalhos.

Rasdhoo, the capital, is a hub with 1,500 residents, known for beaches, clear waters, and vibrant marine life. Dive sites like Maaya Thila offer encounters with reef sharks, manta rays, and turtles. Tourism thrives with resorts like Constance Halaveli and W Maldives, alongside traditional fishing.

Cultural attractions include the Bodu Beru Cultural Center in Rasdhoo, celebrating traditional Maldivian music. Alifu Alifu offers a blend of natural beauty, marine wonders, and cultural richness.
