Kaafu Atoll

Kaafu Atoll, in central Maldives, includes islands like Kaashidhoo and Malé Atoll. Though Malé, the Maldives’ capital, isn’t part of its administration, it serves as the commercial and political hub. Kaafu spans 960 sq. km, with over 200,000 residents, mostly in Malé.

The atoll’s North and South Malé Atolls are renowned for diving and snorkeling at sites like Banana Reef and Kandooma Thila. Water sports such as surfing, with popular spots like Cokes on Thulusdhoo Island, are also a highlight.
